Where to stay in Lisbon and porto

I’ve not visited Portugal yet so can’t offer you any help with such.

We like Chiado, Baixa , Rossi and Barrio Alto in Lisbon. Porto- we like to be near the river or in them historic district of Porto.

I'm from Porto area and I can tell you that you should stay in the historic centre - this way you won't have to take public transportation to go there and you can explore this area on foot... there are many hostels, hotels, Airbnbs to choose from so I believe it won't be a problem ;)
