Hi - just wondering if there is a time of day that one recommends going to visit Livraria Lello - I've heard the lines can be lengthy...thanks:)

We visited Livraria Lello in 2016. We went in the early am and it was not crowded. Perhaps someone else has been there more recently?

Hi! After 18:00, all north tourists want to have dinner. They arrive at some restaurants at 5:30 asking for codfish! So, in my opinion, betweem 18:30 - 19:00 it's a very good time to visit. Of course italians and spanish will be there at the queue, but they are a lot less than the others waitting the bookshop opening at 8 or 9 am...
