I will be arriving in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel on Easter next month. I understand the day after Easter is a public holiday. Do any stores or restaurants open on either day?

I just checked with my cousin who lives in Ponta Delgada. The Monday after Easter is a normal day with everything open. Easter Sunday restaurants and most stores will be operating their normal schedule.
The Friday BEFORE Easter is the holiday for them. She mentioned with the increase in tourism, especially due to the "Low Cost Airlines", stores and restaurants are open more than before.
