I am traveling from Lisbon to Nazare on a Sunday in early June. Rick's book describes the bus schedule on a Sunday as "dismal." I checked the RED-EX website (which has a link for English) and checked the February 2017 SUnday schedule and there appears to be at least 4-5 buses on Sunday between the two cities.
Does anyone have any firsthand experience as to the frequency (or lack thereof) on a Sunday.
Thanks.
I don't see the word "dismal" applied exactly to this city pair in Rick's book. Sunday schedules should continue to follow the pattern that we find in February.
I would go off the operator's current website, which is going to always be more up to date than any guide book.
I always drive in Portugal, rather than rely on public transport, as car hire is cheap.
Personally, I also think that Rick's comments on Nazare being a quaint fishing village worth visiting are also out of date! It's overly commercialised and not as nice as some of the other resorts in the area.
Thank you both for the reply. I take it then that I probably wont have a problem. Obrigado!!
