My thought is that April can be iffy anywhere.
I pack a thin waterproof layer and a lightweight fleece for most any trip and feel ready for just about anything.

Not sure what the weather would be this April, but if there is any chance of rain, I highly recommend you wear shoes with good traction. We went in October. It rained the entire time. My husband wanted to wear his well worn shoes for comfort and immediately regretted it. Lisbon in particular is very slippery. We were very lucky that he wasn’t injured.
