Weather in December in Porto / Wineries?

Hi all - planning first trip to Portugal - we are going right after Christmas (Dec 26-Jan3) and basically splitting our time between Lisbon and Porto, with some side /day trips from those two -
Two questions: for those that have been, what type of weather should we expect in December in Porto in particular (but okay, I'll take any advice you have ;0 and are willing to share) AND will the wineries still require reservations for tours/tastings during that time and/or will they even be avail for that during that time ?

Hi

The weather is cold and wet at that time.

You are travelling during Christmas and New year's, contact each vineyard but expect most to be closed at that time.

If you want to just taste the port wine you can visit the Cellars in Porto or in Lisbon you can visit Solar do Vinho do Porto.

Thank you - I wondered , because websites for via tours etc is still showing available tours during that time but I didn’t know if it would all be “on holiday”
Don’t want to sign up for a tour and not be able to see anything !
