Viva Viagem vs. Lisboa Card

Hello Fellow Travelers,
I would very much like you opinions/confirmations on Viva Viagem (VV) and Lisboa cards (LC).
It have read that VV is specifically for transportation. Yes?
VV doesn't have a time frame for use as long as it has money on it. Yes?
LC seems to be for transportation AND activities (museums, some restaurants, some sites). Yes?
The LC card has 24, 48, or 72 hr options and then I would have to purchase another card. Correct?
Are both cards available at the airport?

Should I double up? We're breaking up our Lisbon stays because that's where we arrive/depart. We'll be there late September. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Mary - we were in Lisbon for 5 nights last month and opted for the Viva Viagem only (transportation only; we bought from a person in the Metro at Lisbon airport after we dropped off our rental car since Lisbon was our last stop; can add money anytime, they don't expire). Metro and buses (& trains?) are free on the Lisboa card so don't get both. Belem Tower was the only thing on the Lisboa Card list (https://www.lisboacard.org/discounts/) that we went to (Sintra National Park was closed due to fire potential while we were there so we didn't get to Sintra and we walked around Tomar Castle for free but didn't make it to the Convent). The Tile Museum and the Resistance & Freedom Museum (not on Lisboa Card) were on my list but we didn't get to them. We opted not to do other museums. We walked a lot in Lisbon - only took the Metro from the airport (easy! Would have taken it back to the airport but it opens at 6:30am and we needed to leave at 5:45am) & out to a casino one night that our (18 & 20 year old) sons wanted to go to (safe and interesting!). Tried to take the train to Belem Tower but there was a strike so we took a taxi ($11!).

Some Lisbon highlights for us: Rick Steve's walking tour (from the app), S. Jorge Castle (buy tickets online, don't wait in the line!), Belem Tower & Pasteis de Belem (we started at the far end of Belem at the Tower (south side of street), toured the tower (buy tickets online!) then crossed the street via walkway to the north side and walked by the monestary (didn't go in) and to Pasteis and then lunch at Miolo), Time Out Market (we went twice!), Ginjas, walking all over! Have fun!

andib - THANK YOU!

I really appreciate your experience and responses. Great information. We have tours to Sintra and plan to explore the city on our own. I will look into the RS walking tours on the app.
