visiting the Douro Valley without a car

We will be staying in Porto for 5 nights but would like to take a day tour of the Douro Valley and visit a quinta.
We researched Rick Steves' suggestions in his Portugal book but they seem to be only cruises.
We will not have a car so are we unrealistic?
We realize that we can visit Vila Nova de Gaia across the river from Porto and taste Port wine.
We are more interested in visiting the beautiful Douro River Valley with a small tour group.
Thank you!

You can easily find a guided tour to the Douro; just ask the concierge at your hotel. I did one with a party of six last October for about $75/person. That included 3 vineyards and a (optional) boat ride.

Hi
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, we will not have the services of a concierge during our stay in Porto.

Viator has a number of day tours for the Douro Valley. We've booked one through them with Living Tours that gets good reviews. Small group, visits two wineries, a brief boat ride, then back to Porto.

Back in 2019, I did a small goup van tour from Porto that visited 2 family run quintas, inclluded a one hour boat ride, plus lunch in a nice restaurant.. It was with Cooltours Oporto. I believe there were about 8 people in the group. We were picked up and dropped off at our Porto accomodations. There are similar tours offered by a number of operators.

Thank you so much for your replies. We looked at Viator and trip advisor and booked directly with Cooltour Oporto.
Appreciate your help.
