We are considering using Vila Vicosa as a base for several days to explore that section of Portugal. It seems to be an interesting place - in the middle of the marble mining area, 1/2 - 1 hour from many historic and iconic locations, etc. Has anyone stayed there and can provide comment on the town and its location?
