I know in Europe you do not add a tip to the check if paying with a credit card, but leave cash if you wish. How would I handle a Uber driver, add the tip to the fare or give the driver cash. I have never used Uber in Europe but plan to from the Porto Portugal airport to our hotel.

I don't tip at home for UBER and wouldn't elsewhere either. Keep in mind a lot of cities don't allow UBER. Taxis are affordable jobs like restaurant staff in Europe. Say thank you and give him a good review.

I tip Uber drivers in the US but not in Europe just as I do not tip taxi drivers there. Uber works well in Portugal, we used it everywhere once we were in Lisbon and Porto. But, I’m not sure about using it at the airport.

No problem using Uber at the airport.
I tip through the app. When the ride ends, I receive a message for both things: review and tip. A fez minutes later they send me another invoice, tip included.

Thanks to all for your input. When traveling though Europe I usually take public transportation, but after traveling for 12 hours I do not want to tackle public transport.

Rode in taxis several times in Porto. They are so cheap! No need to use Uber really.
