UBER pick up location at Lisbon airport

I know it's covered elsewhere (sorry), but since this will be our first UBER trip, could you please specify exactly where the UBER pick up location is at Lisbon Airport (are there signs?) AND how to get there from the baggage claim/arrivals hall area. Thanks so much!

Your Uber app will show you the pickup point which might be subject to change from time to time.

At Lisbon Airport, the Uber (and Taxify, Cabify, etc) pickup area is at the departures area in Terminal 1 near the Kiss & Fly car park. It is not outside the Arrivals area where you would expect it to be.

After you exit baggage claim and customs, you come into a large hall where you will see lots of people waiting - some with signs with names. Turn right and go down the small ramp. You will see an escalator a bit ahead of you. There is also an elevator but the escalator is easier to spot. Go up the escalator or elevator and you will see doors to the outside. From the escalator, it’s to your left. The doors are ahead of you. This is where people departing will be getting out of taxis and entering the airport.

Go across the street and you will see a small parking area and see people exiting cars with their luggage. This is the ‘kiss and fly’ area. Call the Uber from this area and wait - likely along with others - for the Uber to arrive.

It sounds complicated but in actuality is quite easy. Btw - if you’re going to be here and use Uber for awhile, it might be worth it to download Bolt. It’s the same as Uber but usually cheaper. Bolt is used more widely than Uber in the Lisbon and Porto areas.

I found a great YouTube channel with detailed instructions. Check it out: ROAD TRIP SPAIN and PORTUGAL

I have used Uber with no problems. I was going to download and try Bolt, but the reviews I read were quite negative regarding the app and the service.

But if Kathryn says it is best, I will not argue

Hello,

As a Portuguese indeed you cannot get an uber on the arrivals airport, only for registrated companies for shuttles and transfers.

But you can go to the departures zone, just 2 min away, and you can get an uber to that parking.

Feel free for any more questions, happy to help.

We made mistake of taking a taxi from airport instead of asking where the Uber pick up is. Uber is so cheap ($10 from airport) vs. $30 for taxi. Lots of English speakers and people very nice and helpful!
