Does anyone have any recent experience using Uber i Albufeira. I am planning to use Uber to take me from my lodging in Albufeira Old Town to the train station in order to catch an early morning train at the Albufeira train station in mid November. (This will be my first Uber trip in Portugal). Not sure if Uber is widespread in Albufeira and if it will be easy to get an Uber to pick me up at 6:45 am. I plan to book it the day before.
It should not be a problem. Drivers have to eat and pay rent year round.
I have not used Uber, but I still have the bolt app on my phone from my trip to Portugal. If your Uber app works the same way, you can check it anytime to see the availability of cars. Try requesting a car in Albufiera at 9:00 p.m. BC time which would be about 5:00 a.m. Portugal time. The Uber (Bolt) map should probably show many available cars milling around at that time. Plus pre-booking is usually very reliable.
If it was my trip I'd book a regular taxi. That seems like a safer option that early in the morning since you have a train to catch.
FYI, I checked my Bolt app at 6:00am Portugal time and the map showed 15 vehicles milling around in Albufeira.
