Anyone take a tuk tuk food tour in Lisbon? Was is worthwhile? Where to find? Or would I be better with a "Eating Europe" tour? Any suggestions comments? I'm going in September
Bill
We did the Eating Europe Lisbon food tour. We learned some history and ate some very tasty food.
Hi Bill,
If this is your first time in Lisbon, then the tuk tuk tour with Eating Europe is a good introduction. We took it in 2023 and there is an hour on the tuk tuk which takes you to around the city, including some of the miradouros. We really enjoyed the food tour which spent much of the time in the Alfama area. When we visited Lisbon is past fall, we revisited some of the stops on the food tour on our own. The only comment is not on the food tour, but the tuk tuk which is very uncomfortable. An hour is the maximum we would do a tuk tuk tour.
I know that tuk tuks are popular with tourists, but locals almost never use them. My Portuguese friends don’t like seeing them. Using Rick’s travel style, seriously consider either simply walking, or using public transportation.
