Hi, we are in Lagos for one night and two days and we’re wonder if there was good public transit to get from Lagos to the beaches? We have a toddler. We’re hoping to visit one beach and do a boat ride.

The buses in the entire Algarve, including Lagos run fairly infrequently - every 30 minutes during rush hours and every hour at other times. Especially with a toddler, I would suggest renting a car. Driving is very easy with good signage. Auto Europe is a great company that I have used for many years with good results.
Don’t miss Ponte de Piadade. While not a beach, it’s some of the most iconic scenery in the Algarve.

The easiest beach to get to with a toddler is Meia Praia, which is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Lagos. Head to marina via the footbridge then turn right and the beach starts in a few hundred feet just beyond the rail station.
There are lots of boat rides on offer from the marina. Many can be very bumpy and I don’t know if they have a minimum age.
