Thinking of taking the Alsa bus from Seville, Spain to Lagos and on to Salema. Only in Salema for two days and then on to Lisbon by train/bus from Lagos. Is a car necessary in the Algarve region?
Has anyone taken the bus from Seville to Lagos?

A car is pretty essential in the Algarve, IMO. I have friends who took the bus in the opposite direction (Lagos to Sevilla) and they reported it was fine. It’s really the only viable option between the two places.
Also, Lagos is a significantly better place to stay than Salema. If it’s not too late to change, I highly recommend it.
