We are two senior ladies with medium size luggage. Will appreciate any thoughts about best way to travel. ,etc.
We will have been in Italy for 11 days
June 12. Arrive in Lisbon from Milan.
June 13 go to Fatima. Stay for candelight ceremony
June 14. Go to Nazare
June 15 Go to Cascais. Stay at Hilton 2 nights
June 17. Go to Lisbon for 5pm flight home
Would you consider renting a car? Othewise I'd drop Nazare and stay 2 nights in Fatima and 2 in Cascais. Also what are you doing with your luggage while in Lisbon that final day? It might be better to daytrip to Lisbon on your full day in Cascais, ( easy train ride) and then stay in Cascais on your last before heading to airport.
Neither Fatima nor Nazare are on the main train lines. If you don’t want to rent a car, the bus is likely your best option. Flixbus has a lot of routes within the country and the buses are quite nice.
FYI - the very new Hilton in Cascais ( I didn’t even realize it is a Hilton) is up a pretty significant hill. However, bus 27 goes up the hill to very close to the hotel. The fee is €2 for the entire day. Just in case you don’t want to walk the hill…
