I tried to set up coverage through AIG/TravelGuard this morning. Unfortunately, after requesting a quote I received a message that they do not offer coverage from my state of origin, Washington. Has anybody else encountered this issue? We are scheduled to leave next May and return in June (2022). I want to set this up during the 15 days following our deposit. I have never had this issue when setting up other coverage for trips to Italy, Ireland and Mexico. What gives????

There is a recent posting about this issue on the forum. If you go to the search engine type in “Major concerns and confusion about Travel Guard.” Also you can call Travelguard @ 1 800 826 5248. The webmaster replied to this thread.

It has been my fairly well traveled experience that not all insurance companies will insure residents of Washington State. I can't remember why, but it is a thing. Just pick a different company. I have used Insuremytrip and just bought a policy from Berkshire Hathaway.

Quick Answer: Yes, you can get Travel guard insurance in Washington. There is a website issue. You simply need to call them.
