I am flying to Lisbon, arriving on April 14th, looking at going to Evora on the 15th, spending the night, then I need to be in Porto by April 17th to board a river boat departing at 4pm.
Flexible as I could go Lisbon to Evora on the 16th, but need to be in Porto on the 17th. I am trying to find train/bus information/times etc, btwn Evora and Porto, but nothing comes up that is useful. I am assuming I may have to go back to Lisbon to do so. Avoiding car rental this trip.
I could also go to Evora before or after a trip to the Algarve, as that might be a more logical route from what I've read so far.
Thoughts or info on where I can find out if this information exists?

You would need to train back to Lisbon then get the train to Porto. I used the cp.pt site and got several options. The most common train station to use is Oriente in Lisbon and Campanha in Porto. It’s a long trip because the train between Evora and Lisbon has multiple stops.
It seems more logical to pair your trip to Evora with the Algarve. And, with only one night in Evora you aren’t going to see much. I would suggest you try for two nights in Evora.

Thanks I figured that was the case. I think I will visit Evora on the way to the Algarve or on the return back to Lisbon. Still a work in progress!
I knew about the rr site, haven't looked at it depth yet.
