At the end of our Best of Spain tour, we would like to go to Lisbon. Does anyone have suggestions? The train is a 10-11 hour ride, would be scenic, but too long. Any recommendations for private guides, buses? Thanks.
The most convenient way is to fly between the two cities: they are surprisingly poorly connected.
Otherwise, bus from Seville to Faro (~3 hours) followed by train from Faro to Lisbon (~3.5 hours) OR bus from Seville to Lisbon (~7 hours) are the fastest ground public transportation options.
Thanks very much.
I agree with balso about flying to Lisbon. You can fly TAP Portuguese Airlines from Seville to Lisbon. We have flown TAP many times and we have never had a bad experience with them.
There is no train.

They are poorly connected, but that is hardly a surprise. Portugal and Spain are poorly connected, due to a long story (that in fact is history).
And direct flights "home" from Lisbon can be booked up by cruise passengers. So don't take them for granted, and use My Dates Are Flexible on the airline site.
Thanks everyone. Looks like flying it will be.
