Does this work?
Is there a car service one can book for trips between those places? Which do you suggest? Would Uber or Lyft work for such transport? We do not wan to rent a car and with limited time we don't want to be tied down to train or bus schedules..

We successfully used myDayTrip.com for a car and driver to some of these sites in Portugal. You could check them out.

You might want to look at some distances, say, on Google Maps. Long distances and "empty returns" can add up to a lot of money.

Caiscais is adjacent to Lisbon. We used public transit, train, to get there and then back to Lisbon. Easy. We were never tied down as there were so many choices at all times.
