We are planning on taking the high speed train to go to Porto from Lisbon.
Is it worth taking the bus to return to Lisbon, to see a different route?

We spent more than a week between Lisbon and Porto. Portugal is a beautiful country and you’ll miss most of it if you take a high speed train.

You do see a bit more on the bus. But, it’s not a very scenic drive or train ride. To see more, driving is the best option so you can get to the coast and see some of the charming small towns.
