Travel advice for Alentejo

Looking for some more advice….I arrive in Lisbon in late September. Deciding to spend 3 or 4 nights. Then head to Evora spending 2 or 3 nights touring the Alentejo region for the Wineries Cork forests and the Historical Evora….The problem I am finding many of the guides/tours are from Lisbon. Being a single person most are 400 euro + for a day…(too pricey for me)….Any Suggestions?

It’s easy to drive in the Alentejo. I rented a car in Evora for a few days and that worked well. Take the train to Evora then rent a car. Might be your best solution.

Regarding guides, the private ones are all quite expensive. Small group tours are more reasonable but don’t offer the flexibility.
