It's a direct ride on the Metro Blue Line from Jardim Zoological station, or only about €6 for a taxi. If you have Rick's Portugal book, see p. 25.

The public transportation systems in Lisbon are excellent, including the metro, trams, busses, and local trains (to Cascais or Sintra). I also recommend taking taxis for short trips around town. Lisbon taxis are quite comfortable, and are among the least expensive in Europe. Having said that, I do not recommend the tuk tuk "taxis" that have become so common in the past couple of years. You have very little protection in these noisy contraptions, and they provide only a rough ride.
