3 girlfriends and I are planning nine days in Portugal starting in Lisbon moving through the country in a big circle, and returning to Lisbon to fly out. Can we successfully use Bolt between Sintra and Aveiro, Aveiro and Porto, Porto and Coimbra, Coimbra and Lisbon? Suggestions?

You can look at Bolt, but those are pretty long distances, and a bit of a gamble that a driver willing to spend the day driving will be available. You can try to schedule ahead, but cancellation is a real possibility.
Nothing wrong with trains where available, especially between Porto and Coimbra and Coimbra and Lisbon. They are fast and cheap, why mess with what works. Buses are a great option as well. Americans with an image of seedy Greyhound stations in mind often overlook them.

With a group of 4+, recommend looking at Welcome Pickups and Daytrip.com. Family friends (group of 6) worked with daytrip.com over the holidays to take their group from Porto to Lisbon, with sightseeing stops along the way, and had a great experience.
