While staying several nights in Porto near Sao Bento Station, we plan to make day trips to Guimaraes and to Braga on another day traveling on the Urban Trainline. I can find the times on the Cp.Pt Website and the prices of 3,55€ one-way, but cannot book them online. It also appears on the site that adults over 65 pay half fare prices.
Can we buy individual tickets at the PSB station at a ticket window or machine, or must we buy reloadable cards that we load tickets or euros on similar to the Navigante Occasional Card in Lisbon?
These two day trips will be our only use of local transit I expect we will use while in Porto as we will use Uber or Bolt for other transportation and we will book AP train tickets when we leave Porto for an overnight stay in Coimbra and again for a train to Lisbon.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Also, any suggestions about using bus travel to these cities.

If these trips are considered commuter trains, they will not sell tickets ahead of time. But, they will be easy to buy the day of the trip. The loadable card in Porto is the Andante card, but you can also buy a single ticket.

So you can buy single tickets at the station? I probably will just do that each day rather than bother with another loadable card.
Are they time specific or can I just buy two single journey tickets that day and come back on any Urban Train? If you know, is there a senior ticket price?
Finally, why do these Urban Train Ticket times and prices not appear on the Omio Website.

We went to Guimaraes from Porto in October. I bought the round trip tickets from a window in the station the day before. There are trains about every hour. The tickets were not for a specific train.
The next day we validated the tickets and got on. It took a bit of looking at both ends to find the machine that you use to validate the ticket.
It was very inexpensive, although I can’t remember exact cost.

I bought the ticket on the same day of travel. I was there during high season and the line was long. So, budget some time for that.
