Hi we are traveling next week from Lisbon to Porto to Tui (March 2023)
and then later from Lisbon to the Algarve.
Is it recommended that I purchase my train tickets ahead of time or will I be able to buy at the station?

If you purchase ahead of time, it saves you money. But, you can also purchase at the station.
Be aware, there have been numerous train strikes this year. The last I read, they were supposed to end tomorrow. But, I’m not certain if they have accomplished their goal with the strikes. So, more could be planned in the future. cp.pt is the website and should have info on proposed strikes, as well as, purchase of tickets.
