We are planning to be in Portugal in March. Will fly from London (where we will spend 2 weeks visiting family), spend a week in Porto, then a week in Lisbon before flying home to Seattle.
Any recommendations on whether to get to Lisbon via train or bus? Rick Steve’s’ guidebooks don’t really cover this.
Thanks in advance!
The train is faster and more comfortable but the bus is cheaper.
The train is more comfortable.
We took the AP train first class, the seats are wider, the train has washrooms, snack bar, luggage storage.
Buy the tickets from the official site or in person at the train station. Tickets are available a maximum of 60 days before departure.

Posted a trip report that has some photos of the AP train if you want to check it out scroll to the train photos.

Train. Quick and comfortable. On some of them your bags can fit in the space between the rows of seats rather than the bulk area at the end of the coach.
Thank you all for the advice. We are fans of European trains, so are glad to hear that it is our best option.
