Do you need to have a reservation for the train prior to arriving? Our tour ends in Porto and we need to get back to Lisbon. We plan to take the train. Can we purchase the ticket once we arrive in Porto rather than prior to leaving for our tour?
It is best to get it before you go to the station
Be sure and download the CP app as they will make it easier. If you are over 65, be sure and utilize the discount

You can look on the CP website, i would advice to buy at least 24/48 hours earlier.

If you have a good idea of your itinerary, you can save a decent amount of money buying those tickets in advance. They sell the tickets 2 months out. The website is easy to use, cp.pt
