Train from Lisbon to Sintra - transport to top of palace?

Planning to train from Lisbon to Sintra in early July. I will buy our grounds tickets for Pena Park (not palace interior) this weekend. But I'm trying to understand the best way to get from the train in Sintra up to the entrance of Pena - there is a "transfer" offered when you purchase your park tickets from the Pena website, and the description says "Transport (round trip) between the main entrance of the Park and the Palace. ". Does that mean we still need to get from the train to the entrance of the Park? If there are 3 of us (2 adults, 1 child) is it better to hop into an Uber/Bolt or tuk tuk from the train station to get up to the top? I've scoured this forum but haven't been able to put this together with all the info I've read. Thank you!

Yes, you will need transportation to Pena from the train station. I saw quite a few taxis by the train station.

We did not find the walk up to the palace to be at all taxing.

You may get different advice from different folks based on their own individual experiences and preferences.

Our suggestion is to take Uber/Bolt directly from your Lisbon hotel to the main gate of Pena Palace asxearky as practically possible

You save precious time and energy of going from hotel to Rossio station, waiting for train, ride to Sintra station and then potentially unpleasant jockeying for transport to Pena Palace

This is just our viewpoint.

Cost wise it was less than 20 euro for that easy ride, IIRC.

I also suggest taking bolt door-To-door from your Lisbon Hotel to The entrance of the Pena Palace Park entrance. If you book the first timed entry, you can actually beat the crowds and tour the palace interior which we enjoyed.

Make sure to make some "dummy bookings" at various times to check the price of a Bolt or Uber from the hotel areas of Lisbon to the Pena palace entrance. Our Bolt ride from our Sintra BnB to the edge of Lisbon, a 15 minute ride, was 35 euro.
