My wife and I have the Eurail Global Pass, we want a cabin on the train from Lisbon to Madrid on Aug 5, 2016 leaving Lisbon at 21:45 arriving Madrid at 0840 on the 6th of August. How can I make reservation for the cabin in advance. Any additional information would be helpful, thank you, Mike

You can book it at https://ricksteves.raileurope.com/us/rail/point_to_point/triprequest.htm, or normally through the same place you bought the pass, or at a train station or perhaps a travel agency in Portugal.

You can book the train on the Portuguese Railways website as well and it is cheaper than using RailEurope.

My family and I are planning on booking the overnight train from Lisbon to Madrid when we travel in August (the Lusitania) but we found some reviews from 2014 that said the train was not very clean and that the service was not good. Can anyone who has ridden the train recently comment on their experience?
