Hello, we are using a travel planner who is recommending a full day side trip to Sintra, from Lisbon,, which include going to Cascais and Estoril. A very reputable tour company I was in touch with felt strongly that it was wrong to include these three stops in one day and to spend the entire day just on Sintra, or do just a half day Sintra and save the other destinations for another time. They seemed to indicate that they were very out of the way but looking at the map they don't seem so. Any thoughts on these options?
Take a look at Lisbon Riders. We were very happy with our tour recently. Morning stop in the town of Sintra, then the coast and Cabo da Roca, lunch on our own at Cascais, then back to the Peña Palace late enough for the crowds to have eased a bit.
Hi
It's possible to visit all those places in one day if you rush to a destination take a photo and rush to the next instead of taking the time to really appreciate and enjoy.
Take a look at the info sites for Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and judge for yourself if it's reasonable to visit all the attractions in one day.

Thanks all for your replies. I think we'll cut back and not try to do all areas but just focus on Sintra
