Tour Guide Recommendations - Porto

Can you recommend a good private tour guide for Porto? We will be visiting for the first time June 15. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and a teenage boy). We purchased tickets for Livraria de Lello. I have read Rick's guide and was debating so I figure to make the best of our time in Porto it may be a good idea to hire a tour guide that will maybe make our time be spent more efficiently. Any feedback you can provide is appreciated. We tried booking the Beetle tour around the city but it is booked. Suggestions for activities to do with a teen boy in Porto also welcome. thanks

I can’t recommend a tour guide, but we found the city very walkable and easy to explore on our own. Rick’s city walk was enjoyable and covers many main sites.

We got tired one afternoon and took the port house/tram ride that is available right at the entrance to the Dom Luis Bridge (top level). But walking across to the other side of the river is fun, and the walk along the lower level is as well. Lots of street entertainers there.

We also took the tram out to Foz and enjoyed walking along the ocean — beautiful at sunset.

Hi
When I visit Porto I use the hop on hop off yellow bus. It drops off and picks up at major points of interest.
I find it very convenient and I can visit places at my own schedule since I can board the next bus or stay longer at an attraction since the bus runs continuously thru out the day.
