Can anybody please recommend a person (not a company) to lead a couple on a half-day tour of Sintra?
Thanks!

If you can get in with Fernando from Portuguese Chauffeur, I highly recommend him. We did a different tour with him last year (Fatima, Obidos etc) he mentioned that he also did Sinatra tours.
We used Peppe Santagata, Portugal Journeys with Peppe, https://www.portugaljourneyswithpeppe.com/, email: [email protected], telephone: +351937965818, who was recommended by a few of the travelers on this travel forum. He gave us different options on how to spend our day and gave us several recommendations prior to, during and after our excursion on places we could visit on our own, on restaurants, shopping, etc... Peppe picked us up at the door of our flat and took us to Sintra, Peña Palace, Montserrat Palace, Cabo da Roca (westernmost point of continental Europe), where we had lunch overlooking the ocean, then to Cascais and finally back to our flat. Peppe speaks Spanish, Italian, English and Portuguese, knows Portuguese history very well, was very flexible and very knowledgeable about food and wine as well. I've included all his contact information in order to make it easier to find him if needed. I was very appreciative of the other forum participants who shared his contact information, as this was our first trip to Portugal and we needed a lot of guidance.
I would highly recommend Jose from Lisbon on Wheels. I made up a custom itinerary based on what I wanted to see in Sintra. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. We did a full day tour but he probably would be willing to do a half day.
Whoever recommended Jose, I thank you very much. He made our day!
Need a rec for a driver in Morocco - ideas?
We highly recommend Fernando Batisita of Portuguese Chauffeur. Do not be put off by the appearance of a "company", Fernando is the only principal guide. He can customize a tour to your interests. We used Fernando on September 14 of this year.
He was born and raised in Portugal, and his deep knowledge of the Portugal history and Sintra was impressive. In addition to a thorough tour of Pena Palace (he did not accompany us on the Pena Palace visit) and then the town center of Sintra, he took us to the beaches north of Lisbon, stopping at several interesting sites along the way back to Lisbon.
Of all the guided tours during a just completed 3-week trip to Spain and Portugal. would rate him the best.
Safe travels,
