On October 2 we wanted to take the small van Tomar/Knights Templar with Cooltours/Lisbon. They are sold out on October 2 and that is the only day we can go. We like this tour as it is only 8 persons in a small van. Does anyone know of a similar tour? If we cannot find one I guess we will take the train to Tomar but we have no idea how we would see the Almoural Castle. Thanks!!

A few years ago we took a small bus daytrip with Inside Lisbon tours to Obidos and Nazaré and Fátima. It was a bus with seating for 8 or 9. We were very satisfied with the tour and its cost. I just looked them up and they offer a tour to Tomar. They also have very high ratings on Trip Advisor. You could email them to see if their tour includes that specific castle you want to see. We didn't get to Tomar but that place is still on my wish list. We also did a half day walking tour of Lisbon with this same company. insidelisbon.com

Lisbon to Tomar is an easy go, by train or bus.
