My boyfriend and I are planning a week long trip to Portugal in November. Will probably stick to Porto and Lisbon areas, maybe a day trip to Sintra. Do you guys have recommendations for must do things? We enjoy a good authentic meal, interesting drink spots, (I enjoy) historical sights, and my boyfriend enjoys adventure (outdoor stuff) and immersing himself in the culture!! Thanks! Also-what boat excursions would you guys recommend for wine tasing in Douro Valley?? :)

I was with my family (wife and 2 daughters) in Lisbon in early December 2017.
It was recommended to us by other friends who had already been in Lisbon, a company called LX GUEST. The Manager is called Bruno and provides a superb private driver service.
Our driver was the manager himself in a super clean and well treated BMW limousine and with him we made several trips: Sintra, Cascais, Belém, Coimbra, Óbidos, Fatima and Porto. He is super friendly and has an exceptional courtesy.
We loved the quality of the service, the price, all the restaurant recommendations, sightseeing, tips from the cities and got a perspective from someone local and in a super private family way. I hope I was helpfull.

In Porto, you can taste all the wine & port just across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia. Many Port houses line the waterfront & up the hill. Take the subway or walk across the bridge. We enjoyed a nice lunch at Taylor’s, nice view of Porto & gardens with animals including a family of peacocks with young.
