I typically arrange in advance a car service to and from airports when I travel, but many have recommended simply getting a cab at "departures" in Lisbon airport. If I do want a service, can someone suggest one? I'm open to being convinced to simply go the taxi route if there's good reason for it. Thanks

Assuming you can get a pre-paid ticket (for a taxi), what's wrong with taking a taxi? Or metro or airport bus which look inexpensive and quick?

Lisbontaxi.com has a very good service. I’ve used them several times with very good results. They will give you a quote for the price before your trip. As the traffic around the airport can be pretty bad, there is no concern of a bigger than expected cost.
