TAP Airlines carry on baggage

They are very strict. I flew with them in March and they were having people put their luggage in the sizer. Several people were not happy when they were told they’d have to check their luggage.

When I flew TAP in October, they checked the weight of all carry on bags on one of my flights. I have heard they are strict on size and my bag fit the regulations but was not checked in the sizer.

I've flown with TAP multiple times (including just yesterday). Sometimes they measure bag size, sometimes they weigh them and sometimes they do neither. If they're being particular and you're over the limits, you can't talk your way out of it. I've seen people try pleading, being nice and getting angry, all without success. I was flying home once and multiple people had to pay to gate check, including one family who said they'd flown three other times with TAP on the same trip and had no issues with the same bags. That father was furious!

Carry on baggage size limit is 22X16X10 inches. If you suitcase is 23
X 17 X 10 which includes the wheels/handle will they make me gate
check it?

The only responsible answer is: YES, well of course, unless they don't.
