Hello. We are planning to stay on the south coast of Portugal for a few days in the first part of September. I know that it is a beach weather during that time. However, I have heard conflicting opinions on whether or not the ocean is warm enough to swim in. Any input on this would be appriciated.
Hi Alla,
I've swam on the Algarve in September and the water temp. was quite nice. It's not warm like Hawaii, but I didn't find it to be too cold. This of course is subjective; I live in Seattle and swim in Lake Washington every summer, which is a bit cool, but very pleasant. The Algarve is warmer than Lake Washington, but to someone from Florida or Hawaii, it may be too cold.
Thank you very much for information.
