Storing luggage temporarily (a few hours) in Lisbon

We will arrive in Lisbon at 11:00pm and plan to stay in a nearby hotel that night just for simplicity. Not sure of the full 2 week itinerary just yet but probably will spend our first 2-3 nights in Lisbon at an apartment we'll find through AirBnb. When we check out of the airport hotel, and until we can check into our Airbnb place - any suggestions on storing our stuff so we can do some sightseeing until the 2:00 (or whatever) check-in time? I have a backpack, husband has a roller bag (both carry-on size) so not a ton of stuff but I really don't want to be carting it around all morning on buses and cabs if we don't have to. Any thoughts?

Email the Airbnb host to see what options he/she may have. That would be the easiest route

Check with your AirBnB host. Every one I've contacted made arrangements to store luggage. No problem. --L

I was wondering about that - but since we haven't made any reservations I wasn't able to confirm to be sure and thought I should have a backup plan. This is good to know...thanks for putting my mind at ease - I'll make it one of the criteria as I'm looking for a space on AirBnb.

If storing the luggage in your apartment doesn’t work for some reason, check which train stations have luggage storage. I know Cais do Sodre does só I’m thinking the other large ones will also. Depending on where your rental is in the city, that also might be a good solution.
Oriente and Rossio, along with Cais do Sodre are the main stations I think of. One should be relatively close to your apartment if you stay in the city center.
