Storing luggage in Lisbon, luggit app or other services

We are flying from Boston to Lisbon in October and have an apartment booked for our first 3 nights. Unfortunately there is no luggage storage available at the apartment but the host suggested we use an app called luggit. I just installed the app and ran through the process of scheduling pick up and drop off. It looks like we can arrange to have our luggage picked up at the arrivals of the airport in the morning then dropped off at our apartment later that day. There are 4 of us so for 3 large bags and 4 small bags (under 10kg, which is TAP carryon) it will cost ~$50.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used the app, or another similar service. I think the cost seems reasonable, especially since we may decide to get the lisboa card which means without luggage we can just jump on the metro and head into the city where ever we want to go for the first few hours before checking in at 4pm. But I'm just a little concerned about the whole process, how reliable is it, etc. If we wanted to take our luggage with us on the metro we could also have pick up at the Oriente station which would only save a few dollars. I'm more concerned about the process than the cost. Any insight is much appreciated. Thank you.

Sanomh- we arrived in Lisbon from Boston last weekend with the same dilemma. Our host recommended Radical Storage (formerly bagbnb). They use a variety of private shops, homes, and hotels to hold luggage. Basically find a place close to where you are staying on their map of several dozen places in Lisbon (you don’t get the exact address until you book- I assume so you can’t just go direct). Our taxi took us from airport to a souvenir shop in the Alfama, and we left the bags and wandered a while until we could check in, then got a “tuk-tuk” to take us to the shop, get the bags and bring us to our Airbnb. Most of Lisbon is very hilly and cobblestone streets and sidewalks, very hard to pull a suitcase along. Enjoy your trip. Bruce

There's also an app called bounce. I think what we did was just google luggage storage and found one near our apartment. It was a little souvenir shop and they charged 5€ a day per bag. Also, our apartment was near the Rossio train station and there is luggage storage there, although most of the storage bins were full when we checked.

Yes Radical Storage was also $5/bag/day. We’ll worth it even for a couple hours

This is an update - we decided to use the LUGGit app and were very happy with it. I reserved via the app a couple of days ahead. I listed my flight number and asked for a 11:00am pick up since our flight was due in at 10:15am. The timing worked out perfectly. As soon as we landed I received a whatsapp message with the name of our "keeper" and telling us to be ready at the arrivals area by 11am. It said the keeper would be in touch. In our case we received a follow up that the keeper name had changed, but that she would still meet us outside a specific arrivals door (fairly well marked). The keeper was wearing orange vest. She tagged our luggage and then we were able to leave the airport and take the metro - the metro station is just to the right of the arrivals, can't miss it. We only had to carry purses and camera bags and were able to get into the historical center in less than 30 minutes, unencumbered with luggage. Our check in was 4pm at our apartment so we asked for 4:30pm luggage drop off. Right on time, I was sent a message saying the driver was a few minutes away. By the time I got downstairs he was there and unloaded all the luggage and helped us get it into the doorway. We had 4 large bags and 3 small bags and it cost 45euro (had 10% discount from our apartment). For us it was totally worth it, completely seamless and save us from having to get our luggage on/off metro or even a taxi/uber. One thing to note, I had data access on my phone as soon as I landed (I use the BNESIM for Europe) so using whatsapp or their app was easy. I can't comment on Lisbon airport's wifi coverage because I didn't need it.
