Trying to stay dry here in sunny CA wistfully dreaming of our Portugal tour this coming summer. I often spend an inordinate amount of time researching restaurants and, just as often, dine elsewhere based on guides or local recommendations. Looking for some suggestions from those who have done this tour, or visited the towns it visits, recently. We enjoy good food and don't mind spending more to get it, so not looking to score budget meals. Thanks!
In Evora have dinner at the Botequim de Mouraria. It only has about 12 seats at a counter but the food is fantastic. Get there early but try to make a reservation. In Porto don't hesitate to dine at Restaurante Abadia do Porto - terrific seafood, scrumptious grilled octopus.
Although I have not been on a RS Portugal tour, I've taken several there. The guides have always been a reliable source of info on restaurant options, as have the hotel operators.
