We are supposed to arrive in Lisbon around 8:30 am. We want to take the AP train to Porto. Given plane on time arrival stat and immigration lines, we hesitate to book the 10:00 AP. So, we are looking to take the 12:30 pm AP and hoping to find a place in Lisbon airport to nap for a few hours. Rest areas pop up in some searches of the airport. Anyone have experience with this?
I will be flying out from Lisbon come October. I am an airport sleeper. I usually go to the airport the night before and sleep there so as to not miss my plane trying to get to the airport.
I have done research on the Lisbon airport. I have asked questions on this site about the Lisbon airport.
From what I can recall, there are two terminals and one is nicer than the other. I did not find any designated rest areas.
In Boston, there are rocking chairs.
It seems that you will have only a little time to kill,
Where did you find rest areas in the Lisbon airport?
I hope that someone who knows the Lisbon Airport will respond. I am interested as well.
This is a great question!
Like the poster above, I actually also wonder about sleeping in the airport itself, though for a slightly different question. We plan to travel from Porto to Lisbon (AP train at 5:30am arriving in Lisbon Oriente around 8am-ish) but in the case of strikes, we might leave Porto the evening before and we would end up in Lisbon Oriente close to midnight. Instead of getting a hotel, we might want to just sleep at the airport. Anyone tried that before?
I don't have any experience with sleeping at the Lisbon airport (only arrived and departed). However, the airport website mentions ANA Lounge. One of the services of the lounge is:
Take a break and get some rest
- Private booths with sofa and reading light
- Lounge with chairs and a view of the runway
- Shower kit: €16.00
