Sintra Tour for 8 Adults

I’m trying to find a guide for a full day tour of the Sintra/Cascais area for 8 adults in their 50s and 60s. I’ve found a couple but would like to find more. My concern is the vans all appear to be 8 seats (1 driver and 7 passengers). Our group can’t squeeze 8 into one of these.

Any input would be appreciated. We are traveling in September. Thanks!

I booked a couple of private tours with Peppe. He was highly recommended on a Portugal Facebook group that I belong to. He’s able to access a variety of vehicles. We are a group of 10 and he is going to pick us up in Porto and drive us to Lisbon with sightseeing stops along the way. We also booked a tour of Sintra/Cascais another day with him.

Thanks for the reply. I see that he has a Mercedes Vito that he would use for our group. Two passengers in front and six in rows two and three. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has toured in the Mercedes Vito or the VW Transporter.

Let me know how your trip works out. We are planning our Sintra tour for September

We’re booked in April but you may have to give me a nudge to let you know how it went because the memory is a bit short term sometimes lol.

I just checked my Bolt app for a rideshare from the center of Lisbon to the entrance of the Pena Palace Park. A van for eight passengers is about €55-60. A car for 4 passengers is about €25-30. You could rent 2 (or 3) Bolts and be comfortable. This would also give you the flexibility if your group wants to break up and see different things while in Sintra.

Hi! Just sharing from experience — for a group of 8 adults in Sintra, using tuk-tuks works really well.

Most tuk-tuks seat 6 people max, so for 8 people, you would normally have two tuk-tuks traveling together. It actually makes the experience even more fun — you can chat between stops, take great group photos, and stay flexible with your schedule.

We had a fantastic day with a company called Yes, You Deserve! https://www.yesyoudeserve.tours

They arranged two electric tuk-tuks for our group, the guides were wonderful, and everything was smooth from start to finish.

If you want a private, flexible way to explore Sintra without worrying about logistics, I highly recommend looking into a tuk-tuk tour!

Enjoy your trip — Sintra is truly magical!
