Looking way ahead for a trip to Portugal in March, 2025. We will be spending our first three nights in Sintra before traveling on to Porto.
Train by way of Lisbon does not look as good as bus direct from Sintra to Porto. Anyone with recent experience please post comments. Also, suggestions as to whether to choose Redes Express vs. Flixbus.

Flixbus or Gypsyy have buses directly from Sintra to Porto. I’ve used both in the last couple of years and have been very satisfied. Flixbus doesn’t go through Lisbon (and stop at Oriente) but has very tiny bathrooms only for emergencies. Gypsyy has double decker buses with quite nice bathrooms but it does make that stop at Oriente. You don’t get off the bus.
I found both to be about the same time frame for the trip. I would use either again.
