We will have a cruise stop in Lisbon on 5/10 from 8 am to 4 pm. Since we have visited Lisbon a few times before, we would like to concentrate on Sintra during the very few hours we have. Any suggestions re: timing, drivers, guides, must-see/do sites, tickets, etc. would be most welcome. Thank you!

Our group of 6 visited Sintra for a day trip. We purchased the first timed entry (9:30am?) for the Pena Palace. We took a door-to-door Bolt rideshare to save time, money and to stay ahead of the crowds. Then we visited the Moorish Castle and took a bolt back to Lisbon.
However, I would note that we were staying in Lisbon. I'm not sure I would risk missing the cruise ship on return. You have to pay much more for an organized tour, but they may give you more assurance to make sure you do not miss your ship.
