Hey! We will be in Lisbon in late September. I know the easiest way to do Sintra from Lisbon is to take the train, but we would like to pick up our rental car on the way out of Lisbon and then drive directly from Sintra down to Lagos for our next leg, so we’d like to pick up our rental car on the way out of Lisbon. I know you can’t drive around the sights in Sintra, but it sounds like there are places to park outside of town that are a ten-minute walk from the train station where you can then catch the buses. Has anyone done this? We’d like to avoid having to return to Lisbon after Sintra to pick the car up from the airport.
