Hi, planning my day trip to Sintra from Lisbon.
I'm planning on purchasing the first time slot (9:30am) to Pena.
For convenience, use uber from Lisbon to Pena vs train.
Take train back to Lisbon.
After Pena, plan on visiting Moorish castle.
The next 2 sites, I am requesting feedback.

Visit both or just one of them?
I have read mixed reviews on QR.
The grounds of Quinta da Regaleira are spectacular and definitely worth visiting (I'm sure google will bring up plenty of pictures). I would skip the palace there and just focus on the grounds.
Taxi straight to the front gate of pena instead of train is a good move and is what we did as well.
QR is unique and beautiful, definitely worth visiting. We didn’t visit the Sintra palace so I can’t comment.
Another thing we did that I would recommend to anyone is skip the timed visit to the interior of pena palace. Go early and focus on the outside, spend as much time as you need wondering around in the park, go to the cross to take the iconic photo of the palace (need a camera with good zoom) and you will be out in 2 hours and still have time to do moorish castle before lunch
