Sintra and Caiscais Daytrips

Hi!

My partner and I will be in Lisbon for 5 days (more like 4), Arrive early morning on 26th and leaving the 30th.

I was wondering if daytrips to Sintra and Caiscais are a must. They both look amazing but I don't want to spend too much time out of Lisbon though some people have told me these day trips were their highlight.

Also we are open to other day trip destinations but these two seemed easy.

I was also wondering if we were to cut one which one.

We had both places down to visit in our week in Lisbon but only made it to Caiscais. We enjoyed our day trip there as it was a cute town without the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. Easy to get there. I can’t speak to Sintra, but I imagine there will be more sights to see there but more tourists as well. I am sure other posters will chime in on that.
