Shortlist and Air conditioning question for Porto

Please advise which of these two locations for a week stay in Porto:
Calouste Gulbenkian around no. 200. Larger with elevator but no AC. Extremely kind host.
54 Rua das Taipas, smaller, no elevator but first floor. With AC. Very hilly street.
Update: rolling out Taipas. The host ghosted me. I simply asked if I could give cc details instead of bank transfer as guarantee, especially because of free cancellation policy. They just removed my booking and don't reply to me anymore. Beware...

The options are Calouste one or back to drawing board. I don't mind being in the quieter area but I am concerned about AC even though the host says it stays cool there.

Thanks.

If you’re traveling from now through September— Yes, AC is something most would want in Porto where it will be 83 degrees next week.
Note that the “ first floor” in Europe is what Americans would call the second floor so there will be stairs to climb if there is no elevator.

Thanks the problem is that of these two options the one with AC is ona VERY steep road. If it is as hot as you say walking up that steep road would be a killer...
