Hello. We are in Cascais and are really enjoying our time here. I would like to buy some gifts to bring home and wonder if anyone can recommend a store or stores in Cascais that sell well made gifts, preferably ones made in Portugal? Thanks in advance for your advice.
We never visited Cascais. However, our go-to souvenir from Portugal was the ubiquitous tins of sardines. The ones wrapped in paper can be quite colorful and nice. And you don't have to go to an expensive sardine souvenir store. You can find them cheaper in grocery stores.
Cais 16 in the old town has português made items. There is a ceramics store close to the Albatroz that has nice things. Sorry, but I can’t remember the name of it.
If you are there Sunday, there are a lot of vendors at the Mercado with a wide range of items.
The company MAIN makes very nice cutlery in Portugal. You should be able to find it in any place that sells cooking ware. Everybody can actually use a good kitchen knife, and they are not expensive.
